I have met Andy and Gina about 24 years ago in Downtown San Jose. Introduced by a friend, it was definitely love at first sight. Andy is a very skilled martial artist known in the Vietnamese Community and had a career as a Hollywood Stuntman. Currently he runs the ChokeOut Cancer Foundation, a non profit organization aimed at helping the community. Gina runs the day to day operation of the Foundation. Indeed a colorful couple who likes to joke around, and spontaneity is one of their trademarks. For their Engagement Session, we headed to downtown San Jose where they actually live. We went to a local bar, the Continental, and then to the San Jose Civic Hall. Their dog comes along to the shoot. Below are the favorite images from their Session shot before their Wedding at the Capital Club next month.
Meet a couple that so immersed in love, she is a pianist studying for her Masters in Music in IL and he is an who Engineer who moved to work in the West Coast. They met at school and fell in Love, When they got together last week, they decided to get eloped here without their parents who live in China. They called me for a last minute session on Christmas Eve’s morning to send pictures to their parents. I thought they were interesting so off we went for the shoot last Friday. We were shooting in downtown Los Gatos, and people were honking, clapping, wishing them the Congratulations. It was super awesome. Here are 4 of my favorites from the Brrrr Early Morning Session.
It is Christmas Time, and it is time for the Holiday Party Season. As a SF Bay Area Corporate Event Photographer, this month I have been busy photographing and providing Photobooth service for many companies in the Silicon Valley. Last week, I was asked to photographed a Corporate Event at the last minute. The event was taken place at the beautiful Poppy Ridge Golf Club located in the beautiful Livermore Valley which is a great drive, populated by great wineries like Concannon and Wente. This last minute Corporate Event turned out to be one of the funnest party that I have photographed as a SF Bay Area Event Photographer. For the evening’s entertainement, they feature a local magician who calls himself the Amasingh Magician. His last name is Singh, got it? He was wowing everyone with many of his tricks and some of which made scratch my head. At one time, he asked 2 boys in the audience to assist him. He gave the little one a spoon to hold inside a thick napkin. Then he asked the other boy to hold a card with a spoon drawing. Then using his mind, he asked the little boy to unveil the black napkin. There it was, a bent spoon. Then he turned aroound to the other boy, his spoon drawing was also bent. Then he asked the lady in the crowd to hold 2 bunny rabbits made of foam and held them tight in her hands. When he asked her to open her hands, there there was 4 additional little bunnies apeearing out of nowhere. The night continued with fun dancing, where the DJ played fun dance Bollywood and popular dance songs. You can see how the night went from the images below. I photographed Roger’s Wedding and now that Christmas Holiday is coming up, it is time for the Christmas Family Session. Their son is so cute and he has such high energy, he runs around a lot but sometimes that’s a great subject to capture. For the location, we chose the Lake Vasona Park in Los Gatos. On the winter time, the vegetation are lush and there are plenty of fallen leaves on the ground. I love photographing short Wedding at SF City Hall because it is such a beautiful building with so many giant windows, so when Sherry called me to cover her big day with Ray, I was elated. Both of their parents unfortunately could not attend so they were represented by uncles and aunts and their sons and daugthers. They chose the Dome as their Wedding location and the ceremony was pretty quick, lasting 15 minutes at the most. Here are some of the images that I shot that day. I actually just booked 2 more Wedding at SF City Hall this year, so I will be coming back up in the Summer.
